MITP Awards team just confirms that 42 projects out of 55 submissions have cleared MITP’s internal screening. The jury now takes the baton to assess each entry on originality, impact, scalability, and international potential. It’s the kind of update we like on a weekend—concise, upbeat, and with plenty to look forward to.

“MITP Awards demonstrates that the Republic of Moldova delivers technology capable of competing on the international stage. The number and quality of this year’s applications once again confirm the tremendous potential of our local IT ecosystem—talent, ambition, and execution included. This is the country’s most important tech competition, unique in both scale and relevance—the tech equivalent of the Oscars. Through MITP Awards, we aim to provide sustained visibility and practical support to companies that have the courage to innovate and that drive the digital transformation of the economy, helping their solutions reach new markets and audiences beyond our borders.” — Marina Bzovîi, MITP Administrator
The jury brings together widely respected professionals with both international and local credentials. The panel includes Natalia Corobco, Co-founder & CEO of Francis; Aiga Irmeja, Director of the Latvian IT Cluster; Maxim Gorbatenchii, Member of the Supervisory Board at maib leasing; and Stella Jemna, UMAEF Country Representative for Moldova. They will assess entries against originality, impact, scalability, and international potential, ensuring a well-balanced, real-world perspective across startup building, cluster leadership, finance, and international programs.

Pre-selection runs from 15 to 30 September 2025. By 15 October, three finalists in each of the four open categories will be announced, while the Special Jury Prize will be decided on the day of the Gala. The program showcases excellence across five categories: Best Product Innovation, Best Service Innovation, Impactful Initiative of the Year, Best Startup, and Special Jury Prize.
Twelve finalist companies will enjoy amplified visibility through local and international promotion, editorial features, interviews, photoshoots, and video spotlights. In the final stretch, the top three in each category take the stage at Pitch Demo Day to make their case directly to the jury.
The Gala takes place on 5 December 2025 at maib park, where winners will be revealed and celebrated. Expect meaningful outcomes: cash awards, trophies and gifts, invitations to global tech events, national and international exposure, direct access to investors, mentors and strategic partners, and the kind of public recognition that opens doors.

Support from Startup Moldova as Star Partner adds practical muscle. All 12 finalists will receive exclusive pitch-training sessions, and the Best Startup winner earns a slot at Startup Moldova Summit 2026.
